I have had the truck a few months now but I am just coming to realize that the sub isn't working. I have a Voltmeter and very minor electrical skills but I have never really messed with Car Audio but I am going to tackle the troubleshooting. If anyone has any advice on where to start or know of a YouTube that may help, it would be much appreciated.

IS the radio OEM ?? or stock 6 disc/mp3 ??
The third brake light leaks and gets water on the amp, it corrodes the contacts inside the amp and rots the connection..... I have repaired many due to this.
I would re seal your third brake light anyway as its going to be leaking and look in there after a rain and look for water...

stock but no disc changer that I am aware of (that would be center console, correct?). Good to know on that brake light. I will check that first. Im not above bringing it a car audio shop but figured I would do some minor troubleshooting first.

Truthfully I would not bring it to an audio shop. You can take the amplifier assembly out, unscrew it off of the speaker box and send it to somebody to fix for relatively cheap.
On mine, it was the amp. This was the fix for me:

good info. Sounds like all of the most common issues (except for the possible brake light seal leak) are likely to be located all within the speaker and amp assembly. Does the whole unit have one plug going into it so I can just check and make sure juice is getting to the amp? I will feel pretty good if I can limit the issue down to that.

remove the back panel..... bunch of clips and 2 screws inside the amp door. Then 3 bolts and 1 clip and its out.
