Ok thanks, it goes against everything I’ve learned as a mechanic of 43 plus years but I’ll try it. I’m doing pretty much the same each setup as yours. I want to paint the oem roof bars first. Do you know if the nuts are inside or are they the rivet type nuts ?

How did you run the wires for the lights? I want to paint the stock rails on the roof? Do The the nuts stay in place when you remove the two stock rails or do I need to remove the headliner ?

I use keth black rotors on my 02 ST. And just having only front rotors and drums in the real made a crazy improvement. Now the truck feels like it can stop. I don’t know how I did stop with the crappy oem rotors

I like how you think outside the box

Who did the engine rebuild? Did they break the cams in? That’s running the motor with a break in oil at 2000 rpm for 20 minutes or a serious of rpm’s for so much time and then changing the oil. A cam lobe may have been wiped out, seen this happened countless times.
