    Head gasket sealer.

I had a 1981 Winnebago LeSharo motor home that had a Renault engine. They were known for blowing head gaskets and sure enough mine started leaking. I used a product called SteelSeal that I bought online from the manufacturer. It wasn't particularly cheap compared to the products you can buy...

    2005 XLT, white in color,

All Stock, purchased in 2016, it's been a good truck. Drove it from southern Oregon to mid Michigan and back in 2017 and it's rarely had a day off since I bought it, has 186.5K miles on the odometer at the present time (7/2/2021) with only minor repairs needed over the years. Replaced the...

2005 XLT: The thing in the driver's door jamb that holds the wires

Found not one but three broken wires in the harness below the "cannister". I think I've found my window problem.

Dear Deer, you ran into me. Now I can't reinstall the fog light!

2005 XLT .... Hit a deer in the middle of the night. My grille guard successfully guarded the grill; the only damage was a slight ding where it hit the hood above the right frame rail, it took out my right side fog light and cracked the bumper cover at the fog light hole. When I went...

2005 XLT: The thing in the driver's door jamb that holds the wires

Looking for a broken wire for my left side rear window. Here's a question for youse; how does one open the pinout thing to access the wires? If it's those little locking tabs, how do you get to the one that is hidden against the door sheet metal? Motor's okay, rear door window switch is okay...

05 Drivers side power seat bezel needed

Thanks @Todd Z -- that's what I ended up doing. I actually just removed the top existing screw on the left side of the seat frame, drilled a small hole through the plastic trip piece even with it, and ran a 1-5/8" screw through the plastic trim into the existing screw hole. I also ran a short...

05 Drivers side power seat bezel needed

Aha. I have the same problem. It's been over 2 years since you posted, but since there have been no replies I'll ask you if you ever found a replacement? I can't find one locally.

    Latest dealer rant!!

Late 1970's I worked for a major Class 8 (tractor/trailer) dealership. Once a month, we would get a visit from the manufacturers' warranty reps (each of the brands that the dealership sold had their own reps) who would inspect the parts that we had removed and stored in a secure room for this...

2005 Sport Trac engine start hiccup and goofy dash instruments

Thanks. I'll get it checked out. My left rear window stopped working several months ago- I never associated that possibility with the instrument panel, nor that hesitation during starting, but sometimes things are not what one expects.

Thank you- that's not a bad price to have that done.
