    Transmission

Get it looked at quick. Is the OD light flashing? That's a big sign of a major tranny problem. The trannys in the Gen 1s were not great, as you can read about here, but getting them looked at fast when a problem pops up is the best way to keep from maybe having to replace one, which is REALLY...

    Crank but no start issue

Timing chain? Sounds like something is out of time...

Program Transponder key with remote start installed ...

I can tell you that with my gen 1, and a Viper remote start system that did have a blank transponder key hidden under the dash, I was able to program new keys with no problem with the remote start.

    transmission problem

Is your OD light flashing? Lots of problems with the early trannys...

    Please Help!

This was just covered in another post here. If you do not hear the module clicking, and have no dash lights, more than likely, it's the 4x4 control module, located behind the trim panel in the passenger footwell. If you hear the module clicking, but it does not go into 4x4, then check...

E-Z Pass tag for the ST

Ohio is starting to send out replacements at the 10 year mark free of charge. Guess that's about the life of the battery. I'm a year out from that.

E-Z Pass tag for the ST

I had an '03, and had no problems with the Ohio EZPass on the windshield. Still using the same one on my F150.

Towing on a 2004 Sport Trac

Use whatever hitch keeps the trailer level or slightly down with the load you will have in the ST and the trailer. Just don't have the hitch too high, as that will lighten the tongue load, and possibly cause some sway...

    Interior Lites Stay On

Also check the door switches. I had to spray some WD40 into the latch(edge of the door) once to get the light switch to free up. Edit: Looks like Todd beat me to it!

    Trailer Brakes

Yes, you will have to splice into several wires, and install a 7-pin plug under the back bumper. I let a local RV dealer do it, as it was more than I wanted to tackle. That was a while ago though, but I think it was something like $300, including a Prodigy2 brake controller.

    Power outlet

12v is 12v... The cigarette lighter sockets are the same as any other 12v socket, except they can take a little more heat. As long as your phone car charger fits in the socket, it should work fine...

    Cruise Control Switches

Get the ones that look right. I had a problem with the switches for a 2003. Amazon said one thing, and it was the wrong switch. I think my comments are still on Amazon...

    trans temp should be

Make sure you have pushed the tow button. It causes the tranny to shift differently. Downshifting and slowing down will also help keep the temps in check. 218 is ok, but it's starting to get a little on the hot side. I would really start to get concerned with 225 and above, especially for a long...

    heat question

Couple things to look at. 1. Plugged heater core. 2. Heater valve not working. 3. Blend door not working. 4. Water pump not pumping enough? (this one is only a remote possibility...) Below is a link to a diagram from a sponsor's page.
