Hawaii is a different market. Every vehicle must shipped, plus bureaucracies. On the Big Island we don’t have junk yards… Looked at a hyundai Santa cruise last week $30k plus Hawaii blah blah. Like the adactive cruise.... Unbelievable as it may sound trucks cost a lot more here in Hawaii...

I successfully added more keys to my 2004(using Forscan). But in the end I wanted to give keys to my while family 5 plus 2 for my key rings. So dropped the steering wheel surround, pulled the RF reciever and taped a transpoder chip to it. Now keys only cost $6 Crack open a transponder key...

My cruise would work intermittently. The rubber on the buttons were shot, replaced with Amazon cheapies. I used the exisitng wiring in the steering wheel. just has to be very gentle using a small flatheat screwdriver to pry the connectors up. Still intermittent. Found this Diagnostic. *cruise...

The basics 1st, power and grounds Prob have to pull the intrment cluster, Dissaemble the IC I did, upon inspection found broken solder joint, reflowed it. Back in business. Took some time, wasnt that bad. Best of luck.

Dropped the pan at 330 miles, changed oil and filter. Here are the pieces that made it down. I suspect a lot still in the upper pan. Id love to pull the motor, I really do but 300K, $1000 truck, hmmm I have access to 2 more free out of reg dates STs. All same timing issues. Do I really want...

The factory up/down switch has this same circuit. Just ignore the push button wires. Really no need to dissasemle dash (update actually you may have to add 12v to the switch, cant remember) . I could check the wire colors and note them if anyone wants them.

If I took better notes I could have told you what wires to connect to, Darn. I checked and I never took Pics. Anyways Its possible for sure :cool:
