    Cost of collision repairs...unreal

You have to be real careful when you file an insurance claim on an older vehicle. If the damage is too close to the vehicles value, the insurance company can total it and take it away from you. I had a 10 yr old car with a fenden bender and they totaled it on me and I could not stop them. I...

    Subwoofer Problem

My factory subwoofer keeps cutting out. It will play for a few minutes then cut out. If you turn the stereo off and on again it comes back. Problem seems to date back to a time when I left the rear window down and it rained. I have checked / cleaned the connector but it did not help.

    Idler Pulley Squeek

My GenII V6 is squeeking - I'm guessing it's coming from the serpentine puller idler. Is there an easy cure for this?

    Adrenalin molded mudflaps

Will the Husky ones for the regular ST work? Summit racing had them at a good price. 2007-08 Explorer Sport Trac part numbers 56621 & 57621

    No battery run down protection

Yes - I'll fess up - the key was in the on position. I probably had the radio on for 6 hrs? Moderate volume. Working on the front porch and wanted to hear the satellite radio Classic Rewind commercial free - can't stand commercials. Battery was fine after plugging in the charger for a while.

    No battery run down protection

Playing the stereo killed my battery. I can't believe a 2009 vehicle doesn't have battery run down protection. What was Ford thinking?

Who says Sport Tracs can't haul big loads

I discovered termites in my garage the Friday night before the Monday when a crew were coming to put new windows & siding on my house. This was all the wood to fix the termite damage.

What's the best way to clean the rubber floor? I used simple green and it has a lot of soap residue on it.

    Installed Mudflaps & cross bars

This weekend I installed those Husky Liners Mud flaps. They were very well made and fit like a glove. Summit had them for $26. I also installed the Ford roof rack cross bars - they were fine, but the plastic caps that snap off & on the rood racks themselves are crap. I'm not a big fan of...

Factory Remote Start - easy to install?

So the factory remote start system that they sell on fast parts network - is it relatively easy to install yourself? Would be nice to save $100 over a dealer install.

    The White House visitors.

Exactly - the responsible agents need to lose their jobs for this.

    Roof rack cross bars

I need a roof top box or something to carry my skis, but I guess I need the factory cross bars first. Does anybody have a part number or a source for these? Anybody have a better way to carry skis? (I prefer to keep them out of the weather)
