After enjoying the tire sensor fail light for 5 years, I finally had mine replaced with the aftermarket valve stem type 3 months ago. So far, so good, but I have not tested them by letting air out of a tire.

Thanks S Silen from China Grove! I'll have my mechanic check that area when it gets it's next oil change. I live right on the ocean so corrosion is a constant issue- my wheels look like hell up close.

It's fixed! It was the stereo head unit after all. After I got it back, I suspected the 4 month old AGM battery had been discharged and jumped so many times it might be done. Advance Auto Parts tested it and said it needed to be charged in house. They did that and it was ultimately deemed dead...
