Sliding power rear window and sunroof

Definitely get some underside pictures. My '02 looks great from the topside, but that plastic cladding hid the nasty rusty rockers. Even the frame was rotted through in one section. This is on an NH truck with less than 150K. Hearbreaking, since I love the truck. I have a new Bronco now, but...

Sliding power rear window and sunroof

My first gen has both power rear window and power sunroof. It is one of the things I like best about this truck - it gives it a real open air feeling when everything is open.

Someone sideswiped my white '04 Trac, paint stains

I used a Magic Eraser to remove house paint when I swiped the side of the garage while pulling in. The swipe was hard enough to leave a crease, but the white paint came off using the Magic Eraser and did not leave a trace or any visible scratches. This was white paint on a black car. Just keep...

Scored a Bed Extender for $15 Today! But... the Mounting holes on my Trac are Not threaded? How do I install it??

I took some photos of my setup. Maybe Ford changed the design to make the middle pivot point a bolt-on? Mine has the post that makes installation / removal really easy. There is also a possibility that I'm still misunderstanding something.

Scored a Bed Extender for $15 Today! But... the Mounting holes on my Trac are Not threaded? How do I install it??

Yes, mine have pull tabs - both upper and lower. No bolts that I can think of.

Scored a Bed Extender for $15 Today! But... the Mounting holes on my Trac are Not threaded? How do I install it??

Mine has spring-loaded pull tabs that make it really easy to install and remove. I didn't know that some of them are bolt-in, which I think would make installation and removal a time consuming task. Having it in all the time takes up yet more precious cargo space when the extension is not needed.

Pioneer 6-CD Player Won't Eject CD

Glad that yours fixed itself. When this happened to me, I did a lot of searching for solutions. Several people did have luck with doing a "reset" and having the system come back to life - just removing the battery cables and then putting them back on. This didn't work for me, and so I had to...

    Anyone Ever Donate A Vehicle?

Here in NH, we are also a no sales or income tax state, so it will be interesting to see what our rules are regarding vehicle donations. We have the Kars For Kids TV and radio ads on every 5 minutes, probably like most places.

    Anyone Ever Donate A Vehicle?

Thanks for the advice. It's an '02 with every option, I believe. Everything seems to work fine except for the CD changer, which all of the popular fixes that I tried did not work. Driver seat bottom is toast, I would expect that most of them are. 140K on the engine, runs okay. I like the idea...

    Anyone Ever Donate A Vehicle?

Due to the amount of rot that I have found in the undercarriage, I think it is time to consider selling / scrapping / donating the ST. I am wondering if anyone have ever donated a vehicle before. This is something that I don't know very much about. Is a vehicle that can't pass state inspection...

Probably been posted 100 times at least.

With that small amount of increase in HP, my guess is one or several of the following: - Free-er flowing exhaust - Free-er flowing air intake - Slight difference in tuning - Ford wanted to make sure that the Mustang sounded more powerful than an 'ol pickemup. My '13 Charger V6 with...

What to do when you need to replace your beloved ST?

Now that my ST has some serious undercarriage rot, I'll be looking too. I thought that I might look for a later model ST in low mileage and great condition, but should probably go new(er), considering those are now over 10 years old. Has anyone looked at the specs of the Santa Cruz yet? I know...

What Does This Rotted Part Do?

Yes, that is a body mount. You summed up my feelings of the vehicle as it stands. I used to use it a couple of times a week to drive back and forth to work. It's about an hour drive each way, so now I'm afraid to drive it that far. Never off-road and it is no longer our family hauler.

What Does This Rotted Part Do?

I was underneath my '02 ST looking at an exhaust leak and noticed that the rockers are severely rotted, hidden under their plastic our panels. It was not unexpected, due to the amount of salt they throw on our NH roads. What I didn't expect was this part being rotted this badly. The pic is of...

Rusted inner panel behind front wheels / panel directly above mud flaps

I live in NH and was under my '02 ST a couple of weeks ago looking at an exhaust leak, and the rocker panels (hidden behind the plastic cladding) are toast. Mine has about the same mileage as yours, too. My biggest concern is that some sort of support that runs from the body mount to the rocker...
