Vehicle For Sale 2004 Black Beauty for sale, $5,000.

My new Mav is supposed to be delivered in a couple months, around December and I have to part with my Sport Trac. Asking $5000. It is in very good condition and loaded with everything except GPS and it has the Flex engine, the hard, 2-piece tonneau cover and bed extender. Bed has a few minor...

Actually that does help a lot. The pic certainly looks like my reman. Thanks. Reg

Just bought a reman starter from Rock Auto.

Got the starter for my 2004 FWD , 6 cyl. from Rock Auto. It is in a Motorcraft box with the Ford logo on the label, but the actual starter only has a metalized plastic sticker with A1008F on it. The original numbers molded on the starter neck are F77U, 11131, AA. The part number on the...

Just bought a reman starter from Rock Auto.

I am not sure if my starter is going out or not. Sometimes it seems to miss engaging with the ring gear momentarily, makes a loud metal to metal clank noise, but then it engages and all is ok. But, 4 days ago, I tried to start my truck and the battery seemed very weak and turned the engine...

    Driver side fender

Sure looks repairable to me. A little body hammering and a little putty and paint. Or pay a shop $500 to do it. Either way, you will be a lot happier with the results.

2001 - Looking to replace stock radio

I am wondering about the installation. Did you need an adaptive harness? or did you have to make any changes to the truck bezel to make it fit? I am looking for a nice radio too and this one fits my budget.

Sold 2007 V8 AWD Limited for sale. 74,126 miles as of today.

Beautiful truck. I suspect you will regret selling it right after making a deal on it.

New led bulbs not working in back up lights

I put new leds on my 04 and they seem to work. But, all back-up lights are a waste of energy. I cannot see much better than if I had none at all. I would like to install a rectangular light under my bumper that would brightly light up about 20' of area when in reverse.

Parts For Sale Hard folding bed cover in Los Angeles

I do hope that more people pull these covers and bed extenders off their trucks before sending the trucks to the scraper. There is an active market for both items. And most are willing to drive a couple hundred miles to retrieve them. I wish this was closer to me.

    New guy

I am sure your dad loved his truck as we all do ours. He would be proud that you are in a group of like-minded owners who not only take care of their trucks, but want them to be efficient, comfortable, attractive, and dependable. Welcome to the forum, and so sorry for your loss.

If you are wondering where all the first gen sport tracs are?

I believe it about the rust. My 04 is a Florida truck and the reason I bought it was no rust anywhere. Some cosmetic scratches topside but being a 20 year old truck in Ohio without rust is very uncommon. It would mean it spent it's life in a garage, and only came out to go to the car wash...

    Bumper Step

Thanks for your reply. What brand is yours. It looks stronger. I think Harbor freight is made of fiber Glas. Some are resin, some are aluminum, not sure if any are steel. Getting the best one for the money might take some head scratchin.

    Bumper Step

I have been considering buying myself a late Christmas present. A WeatherTech bumper step. The price for a 12" would be well over $100 and the longer one about $150 after freight and tax. Harbor has a cheaper version for about $35. I would probably get the better quality, USA made 24", but...

    Body bolts needed

A a follow up, I should also say a shout out to all those who post helpful suggestions on this site. I have been helped many times. I know this is not the thread for this type of message, but it is near Christmas and it looked like a good place to say thank you and Merry Christmas to all.
