    Starting issue

There is a known issue with the multi function switch (MFS) connector wiring being too short from the factory. Repair involved removing the steering column cover and modifying or replacing the connector. This may only apply to earlier build 2001-05 Sport Tracs. Original post is gone but I'll...

    Clears

There was a project to remove the stock amber lens but I can't find it. I'll keep looking but it may be gone for good.

    Vibration and bad acceleration

Common cause of steering wheel shake is air in the power steering system. Often happens when turning the wheels with the engine NOT running. To correct, start the engine and slowly turn the steering wheel all the way left to right repeatedly until the shaking subsides. Another way is find an...

Looking for a rear door latch

^ For those non DIY'ers needing door striker bushings. eBay replacements linked below are excellent and fit well on OEM door strikers. Outline the striker with a pencil or Sharpie before loosening and removal. I don't believe Ford sells the plastic striker bushings separately and the aftermarket...

Looking for a rear door latch

Another possible reason for "floppy" outside door handles are broken spring(s). Remove the door panel to check. You didn't mention an inside door handle issue, but check the springs and nylon gear while the panel is off...

Looking for a rear door latch

Yes, for aftermarket. R/A carries some Ford parts, but not OE door latches. Only front latches listed. No rear latches. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/ford,2005,explorer+sport+trac,4.0l+v6,1430691,body+&+lamp+assembly,door+latch,10748

Looking for a rear door latch

Agree, parts are getting very scarce with these 20+ year old trucks. Did you try searching by part number? Found a new rear passenger latch, but the seller's description is suspect. Only found used for rear driver latch. GL https://www.ebay.com/itm/315962913210...

2003 Sport Trac P1074 persistent code

Failed rubber PCV elbow is by far the most common cause of p0171 & p0174 trouble codes with the 4.0L (Job 2) SOHC. Very important to inspect the underside of the elbow. Good luck. https://www.explorerforum.com/forums/index.php?threads/p0171-p0174-4-0l-sohcs-sport-sport-trac.314670/

My new to me sport trac

With four other DTC's it's unlikely your only issue, but check the notoriously failed PCV elbow. If never replaced after over 20 years it's probably toast anyway. GL https://www.explorerforum.com/forums/threads/p0171-p0174-4-0l-sohcs-sport-sport-trac.314670/
