    Another one bites the dust

Hi all. Sold the Trac yesterday. I would just like to say thanks to all for this great site, all the posts and projects over the years have sure helped. I imagine I'll be still lurking around from time to time. The new ride I picked up in January is a 2015 F150 4x4, so still in the Ford...

    Fuel rail pressure sensor

Week fuel pump was the cause, only putting out 20 psi. It took a long time to turn over to get it started but then it would run ok but hesitate at heavy throttle, which makes sense.

    Fuel rail pressure sensor

The truck would not start this morning, I checked codes P0191 came up fuel rail pressure sensor. When I turn the key to the on position I can here the click for the fuel pump but I do not here the pump run, would a bad rail sensor stop the pump from priming like that? I replaced the fuel...

    license plate lights

If you let your son back your truck up to a trailer by touch then they you need to replace the sockets as well :)

    license plate lights

I just replaced mine too, from a ranger out of the local wreckers. It looked like an early 2000 model, $5 each.

    Abs trac control light

It is most likely the front hub again, sometimes they grind and some times they don't at first, but it will eventually start to grind.

    DPFE's suck

Replaced a few on my Areostar van, make sure you get the proper tubes to attach to the DPFE, fuel lines or other tubes can't handle the heat or gasses, they collapse/degrade pretty quickly.

    Fuel Pump Problem

Also my 05 Trac had a fuel pump control module go bad, that will also cause the pump not to work. Mine was under the box on the cross over support, check that first mine was very corroded. Of course they changed the pump first then found the module was bad :(

    Driveshaft

I have only seen 2 Tracs down here so far, not much chance of finding a drive shaft here.

    Driveshaft

That was a good one Dean :) After I get back from Fort Myers spring break vacation I'll give the used aluminum drive shaft a try and buy some lottery tickets too.

    Driveshaft

Has any one had any luck rebalancing their drive shaft? The truck picks up a shimmy at around 65 or 70 mph, it tends to come and go as I drive on the highway and it feel likes it is from the rear end. Tires have been rotated and spare put on and same shimmy at same speed. I have just...

    Grinding Noise

Could also be a seized brake calliper or stuck e brake?
