Oddly enough my cruise control indicator has started becoming intermittent. Cruise still works fine but sometimes I get an indicator - sometimes I get nothing. I have an '09 4.6l
These are basically Android tablets so you either use Android Auto/Carplay or you can install Apps from the Google play store. I went with one that has a sim slot and have a data plan for mine so I use the apps (Maps, Waze etc) from the play store... Also in Canada :)
Steering wheel controls...
Here you go. I think it fits quite nicely. :) Vents are only slightly blocked (which is a good thing as it throws some cool air on the unit in the heat of the summer)
Cheers!
I had the same issue with my '09. First had just the bulbs which errored every time, then I installed resistors which helped reduce the dash errors but they were still relatively frequent.
After digging around (probably on here somewhere) I bought these...
Finally got mine installed. I went with the threaded rod like @Fordtruckfan89 What a difference! (and hopefully, they last more than 6 months!)
Just wanted to thank all those that take time to contribute their time and content here for the benefit of others (like me).

I've moved on. :)
Been driving around for a month+ with a broken link - just want to get this done after ordering 2 different kits just for the right bolts. Already have everything else for a while now so I picked up 2 12" threaded rods from a local hardware store and will get them...
I am 0 for 2 with the kits. One set had 7/16" bolts but 9.75" length - the other was 10.4" long but had skinny bolts. I think I am just going to get some threaded rod for this and be done! Still happy with the threaded rod for this?
I'm not a fan either (as someone that learned to drive in a RWD Datsun 510 in the winter) but have to admit it has saved my bacon this winter by kicking in during an unexpected icy section on a curve up here in the mountains this year... thanks for the save irritating traction control! :)
As @swshawaii said it feels loose/sloppy, particularly at highway speeds. Also mine is actually broken now so it rattles/knocks when I slowly hit bumps sometimes
Yes it does! I've been driving around with a broken link for a month now (less than a year old) so I am keening following these updates as a collect the parts needed for some bulletproof links this time. Thanks for your posts all.
I stalled this one in my '09.

It's been in there for a year and a half now and I am very happy with it - mostly because it is essentially an Android tablet mated to some stereo bits which allowed me to install and...
