Evening, all. I'm in the market for new tires for my 2009 Adrenalin and after four consecutive sets of Yokohama Parada Spec-X 265/50R20s, it appears that Yoko no longer makes the Spec-X in this size. I'm considering the Spec-X in 275/45R20 as an alternative. I'm wondering if this tire would be too wide for the Adrenalin factory rims and whether or not it would rub on the wheel wells. Does anyone know how wide the factory rims are? I've had no problems with the 265/50R20s.

Thanks!

Running 265/50/20... I want more sidewall for the crappy roads. Goodyear Forturas are great, but the best for me is the Bridgestone AT3.

2nd Gen STA wheels are 8Jx20 ET35.

275’s should be on a wider rim, and as Todd stated, ride-ability would drop..

it depends how you size the tire..... wider is ok, taller is softer unless you go up on plys..... sticking a wide tire on a narrow rim, curls the side wall and its not designed to do that and can handle weird and ride in an undesirable way.

If you change the tire size from original specs, your speedometer accuracy will be affected. Going from the original 255/50R20 the STA came with to the 265/50R20s that I've been using only increased the overall diameter of the tire from 30.0" to 30.4". Didn't have a noticeable affect on the speedometer accuracy, and the sidewall height only increased by 0.2". But, as OvalSports points out, a wider tire (ie: 275mm) should go on a wider rim. You'd also want to reduce the aspect ratio to 45 (275/45R20) to stay close to the overall diameter of 30". Further, from my original post, you have to start worrying about wider tires rubbing on stationary parts when you're turning.

I had a set of Firestone Destination ST assymetrucal pattern a few years back. I loved them and grip was amazing summer and winter. They stopped making them. It came new in 2010 with Pirellis scorpions ,I have had also the yokohama Parada Spec X s, some Nitto product, and now I am running Goodyear RSA which I am pretty happy with. The Firestones were the best.

We just bought a 2008 Sport Trac Adrenalin. The previous owner had put a set of P255/50R20 Michelin Defender LTX M/S

I put a identical set on my wife's 2008 Limited. Like them fine !!

Put a new set on my 2015 F150 King Ranch the other day.

When it comes time, will put a set on my wife's 2017 F150 King Ranch. (FORD had a buy 3 get 1 "free" tire sale).

Really love these tires !! FWIW

Do you know if 20x10 ET18 wheels will fit the rear of a 2010 sport trac adrenalin?
Thanks
