Honda Ridgeline, MT TRUCK of the year

Whoa....another flurry of replies....where do I begin. TJR - "I said this before, you are on a site devoted to STs and frequented by ST *ZEALOTS* and *FANATICS*." I have no problem with people being Fanatics or Zealots. As a matter of fact, I admire people who have solid convictions...

Honda Ridgeline, MT TRUCK of the year

Q – “And btw, have you EVER seen a 2005 vs. 2006 model year comparrison in C&D or ANY car/truck magazine?” I did not realize that Ford decided to skip a year with the ST. I thought they had a 2006 model. But, as I have just learned, in fact there is no ’06 ST. My bad. Q –...

Honda Ridgeline, MT TRUCK of the year

Gavin - "Get your pipes, chains, knives, and brass knuckles ready!" Are you seriously advocating a physical confrontation to settle a discussion? Just like person who posted the item about driving around with paint ball guns ...... And you folks are calling ME childish/immature...

Honda Ridgeline, MT TRUCK of the year

Tom - "I actually get more flexibility. I can buy a 4x4, or I can buy a 4x2". I don't know where you live, but where I live, a 4x2 pickup is useless in the 100+ inches of snow we get each year. Besides, I have the flexibility of getting 4x2 gas mileage and having the security of available...

Brandon64 - "The only way to settle it is by a face to face comparison and testing them through equal means." That would be interesting.

Honda Ridgeline, MT TRUCK of the year

Tom - "My Trac puts 100% to the back wheels. I have the option of buying a RWD vehicle." So you are saying that the ST does not offer as much flexibility as the RL does. OK, I can agree with that. Tom - "Ford callking it an SUT? No, I don't think so." From Fords' own media page...

Honda Ridgeline, MT TRUCK of the year

Tom - "I never said I approved of the IRS used in the new Sport Trac. Also, Ford doesn't call the Sport Trac a truck, but actually what it really is, an SUV...Unlike Honda calling thier a 1/2 ton truck that is misleading". OK, I wasn't gonna call you to the carpet on that one Tom....but...

Honda Ridgeline, MT TRUCK of the year

Haha.....you guys crack me up! You really do! You guys rip on the RL for not having a solid rear axle..... instead it has an independent rear suspension.... and you guys rip on the trunk in the bed.....and that the RL isn't a real truck because it's "cushy" with those leather seats and smooth...

Honda Ridgeline, MT TRUCK of the year

Gavin - "Let's see if your Ridgeline outlasts the SportTrac!" Oh, I have NO doubts about my RL outlasting many vehicles that are on the road right now, including, but not limited to, the ST. Hey Mudflap.... I don't think I was being "childish". Actually, out of all the posters in this...

Honda Ridgeline, MT TRUCK of the year

Wow....a flurry of replies..... I like this...this is interesting.... Tom - "As for saying the engine was better on the 323 is wrong. Plain and simple. Both engines were made in the same plant in Japan. You really think Ford would send thier engineers over there to make sure they are good...

Fred - "Yeah, that's it, I'm learning something! Yeah! Thank you, really. " Hey, no problem. Just trying to help. Just doing what I can...... Tom - "And also did you know Mazda made some cars for Ford. The Mercury Tracer was an identical clone to the 323, not the other way around...

Honda Ridgeline, MT TRUCK of the year

Tom - "In 1989, CR reported saying the Mazda 323 was more reliable then the Mercury Tracer. They were the exact car" As most folks know, Ford is making some vehicles for Mazda, including the "B" Series pickups, that's true. But isn't it also true that Mazda have their own quality control...

Honda Ridgeline, MT TRUCK of the year

Mudflap - "That honostly confuses the crap out of me. How the hell are they the most reliable if this is their first year? I am scratching a hole in my head with this one." Don't scratch too hard....go read the article and see for yourself...

Honda Ridgeline, MT TRUCK of the year

Gavin - "Also the Ridgeline will soon be the MOST RELIABLE truck on the road as well. " Well, according to Consumer Reports, it already is. As I have posted above....Consumer Reports just reported that the RL and the '06 Taco have the highest reliability rating of all the trucks on the...

Honda Ridgeline, MT TRUCK of the year

TJR - "Are we still debating what is what isn't a truck?" Nope. I'm not. Tom might be debating it....since he is a master debater. I enjoy being a cunning linguist myself. Yep, that I do Tom....that I do. Just nice to know that I am driving THE SAFEST TRUCK on the road...
