Honda Ridgeline, MT TRUCK of the year

TrainTrac - "That was totally uncalled for. I think you just need to take a deep breath and relax for a minute. Don't take it personally. We love our ST's, you love your RL. On that at least, we can agree, no?" Haha....yes I tried to take the high road, but I lost it and took a detour.... I...

Very good Bill. Well put. I don't know about the rest of you ST/Ford Fanatics, but I have enjoyed this (Except for the name calling and personal attacks). Like you said, Bill, the ST/RL both have their problems and both have their fans. Don't get me wrong, I did NOT come here to...

Honda Ridgeline, MT TRUCK of the year

Yep, I keep coming back. I think this is fun. I enjoy punching/counter punching with the likes of Tom, TrainTrac, and Q. Now, Nobleman….he’s just a knob. His only argument is, “Yeah, the RL is a piece of sh!t”. Whatever. Whoa….got a flurry of replies….I can’t reply to all...

Bill-E - "You guys sure know how to beat a dead horse. You might as well be discussing religion or politics. I just don't understand how grown men can get so worked up about who's truck is better. The RL has features that the current ST does not have.......so what. The RL is a newer design. The...

Caymen – “Fordvehicles.com F-150 Maximum payload...Regular cab, 4x2 5.4L with payload package. 3060 LBS.” Hmmm….the mighty F-150. That isn’t the same vehicle what was mysteriously bursting into flames and burning down people’s homes, now was it? Man, now that is Ford...

Honda Ridgeline, MT TRUCK of the year

Tom - "Try not to tow anything. I wouldn't want anything to happen to that Odyssey". I'm not sure what the towing capacity of an Odyssey is, but it's probably more than a ST. nobleman - "It's still a piece of shit any way you slice it." I wouldn't exactly call that a Noble Man's...

Oh, OK, Tom.... you must be using that "new math" then. If that makes you happy, great. Take Care, RLOwner

OK, Tom... I was leaving, but you keep dragging me back..... Tom - "The Explorer Sport Trac is not even a truck. Ford never marketed it as a truck. Ford does not list it a truck. Ford does not even call it a truck." OK....THANK YOU. At least one of you can admit it....thank you...

DiveTac.... LOL! That is a classic!!!! OK... I will leave this ST forum and leave you guys to your ST lovin'. Enjoy your trucks, because I know I will enjoy my TRUCK. Oh, one more comment..... Tom - "Again, It took Honda how long to beat the Sport Trac? " Ummmm....on their...

Funny you have to run F150 stats to even come close to comparing to an RL. What that tells me, in so many words, is you are admitting that the ST does not compare to the RL. Am I correct?

Oh, and I just found this on cnn.money.com. All you ST fans will LOVE this..... By Lawrence Ulrich, MONEY magazine..... (and I quote): "......It's most direct competitor is the Ford Explorer SportTrac, but frankly it's no competition: The Ridgeline is leagues ahead." Hey, I...

Honda Ridgeline, MT TRUCK of the year

Caymen....since you are so fond of "apples to apples"....try comparing a 4x4 with a 4x4 and a standard suspension with a standard suspension. A two wheel drive is going to have a higher payload capacity, because a 2 wheel drive is lighter by it's very nature. Besides, that is not a "standard"...

Honda Ridgeline, MT TRUCK of the year

Haha.....good one Fred. I have to agree....we all like our vehicles for particular reasons....and variety is the spice of life. Some of you folks are "brand loyal" and love your Fords. That's fine and dandy. This the first Honda for me and, until the "Big 3" can show me something...

Honda Ridgeline, MT TRUCK of the year

Caymen – “I do think Motor Trend was completely right about the Renalt. That was a real winner” I noticed they picked the F-150 a few times (’97 and ‘04). Man, how stupid are those guys?!?! Caymen – “Lets compare apples to apples. Compare the RL to a real 1/2 ton truck...

Honda Ridgeline, MT TRUCK of the year

Bed Capacity 1610 lbs. I'm not a Rocket Scientist, but I believe that is over a 1/2 ton (Greater than 1000 lbs., is it not?) Yes, the ST is rated to tow 300 more lbs than the RL. Yes the RL has 45 more HP than the ST. I am not comparing the RL against a motorhome. I am comparing...

Mine's not tricked out or anything like that. Just a silver RTL, with sunroof, XM radio, Navigation, leather interior, etc.....besides I haven't taken any pictures of it yet. I will when I add the tonneau and running boards.

Honda Ridgeline, MT TRUCK of the year

Oh, and the RL won one more, by the way, it just picked received top honors Tuesday in On Wheels Inc.'s annual Urban Wheel Awards. Oh, so the RL is not a "real truck", huh? So, the ST has less payload than the RL, the RL has more HP and produces more torque than the ST.....so what does...
