    Fuel/Gas filler door housing replacement

It always feels good figuring stuff out on your own. Nice job installing new gas door. Great idea plugging the filler neck so screws didn't fall in.

DVDSWAN 02 Sport Trac Build/Maintenance thread

So I tried to lock the tailgate today. Key wouldn't turn. Guessing the handle was probably changed and the lock cylinder wasn't swapped. So how hard is it to re-key the tailgate lock cylinder and does it have a lock actuator in the tailgate?

DVDSWAN 02 Sport Trac Build/Maintenance thread

Removed the topper and installed the tonneau cover and bed divider in the truck. I'm keeping the topper but have to make a back window since it was gone when I got the truck. I'll have to make since there are none available. :(

    Off-road bumpers

You can make anything fit with trimming, modifying, and welding. Cheap welders can be great for starter. But you would want to find something that could weld at least 3/16" plate. 1/4" would be better but the price goes up for those. I would suggest scouring the internet for bumper styles...

    axle spindle nut

The reason for a new axle nut is because the manufacturer says it is a "torque to yield" nut. Now, you could re-use it be you should use a torque wrench to proper torque specs then staking it down. From which I don't recall if the threads have a slot to stake it to. I suppose you could also...

What is the deal with my rear bumper cover?

My guess would be that flat bar for the ball is rusting out. A person stepped on it and crack the cover. #8 below.
