    turn signal

Awesome - thanks for sharing - I am still on original transmission but had the rear end rebuilt about 10000 miles ago - quite an improvement in ride quality - I had the trans inspected awhile back and the shop said they could see no problems - like you I do regular fluid changes -

Wow - 315,000 - is that the original engine? I have 253,000 on my 2002 original engine and was wondering when I should get it rebuilt and the local engine shop said I should leave it alone until the timing chain starts making noise.

    Bull Bar

Mine also bolted into the tow ring mount - once I figured it out it was pretty easy to install and have had it off and then put back on once - I just needed to pull the tow rings off - put the bracket in place first then the tow ring - took a bit of wrestling and swearing to get the bolts...

    Looking for your opinion

I was afraid you were going to say soft topper. Unfortunately they don't make them for the sport trac anymore - at least that is what I was told once I could get someone on the phone a couple of years ago - I would have made the trip over to Colorado to pick it up - used to live in Boulder - my...

    Looking for your opinion

Looks good - I an curios about where you scored the soft topper? - I looked for years and could not find one - finally went with ordering a new ARE hard topper but your soft topper makesthe truck look much more rugged and definitely a lot lighter!

Here are a couple photos of my white 2002 - installed it after I hit a deer - then had a pig run out in front which just missed the bar - no lights on mine although I like the idea of lights for some reason can't seem to get the files to attach from my phone - will try later from computer

Seat swap or rebuild oem seat?

Hey Russell - I am also in the North Bay - years ago I switched out the stock cloth seats for some leather all electric seats out of an explorer at pic and pull in Windsor - no mods - direct bolt in - of course these vehicles are getting old so it may be difficult to find usable seats that fit...

Front Suspension parts identification / serious problem leaning = '04 SportTrac 175K mi.

Shipping to me from the first company (ATS) for two rear leaf is $120 ‐ so just shy of $500 for the leaf springs to arrive at my door

Front Suspension parts identification / serious problem leaning = '04 SportTrac 175K mi.

Hopefully not side tracking this thread to much but I have been thinking of replacing my rear leafs with this product for awhile but keep having to fix other things first - has anyone tried them? In the old days I would have taken the springs to a spring shop and having them rearched and adding...

    Passenger door lockout

I feel your pain - I am embarrassed to say how long it took me to change the rear door latch on the driver's side....

    Issues de-activating autolock

I agree with Todd Z - they are touchy - I did a Google search and finally one strategy worked - makes life a lot easier now that the kids are older - I posted about it earlier

    Passenger door lockout

My guess is it is a combination of poor design and time plus the child lock mechanism is on the back doors - then when people get in the back and don't have the "knack" for opening the door it doesn't open right away and they think they did not give it enough force and start yanking on it harder...

    Passenger door lockout

Hey swshawai - did you have to go through the ford dealer or one of the oem online sites to source the nylon gears? There are a lot of yellow connections on the latch rods that appear to be worn out - almost every time an adult sits in the back seat the pull the black plastic handle too hard...

    Passenger door lockout

I had the same issue swshawaii reported. Door handle on rear driver's side door pulled too hard or at the wrong time and door was permanently locked - I pulled the rear seat and was able to get the door panel off pretty easy - then reached inside the door and messed with the rods going to the...

    Door Hinge Pin Replacement

I am sorry to hear that as both my front doors are worn and need to be lifted up to close - I also was thinking of just replacing the entire hinge but was turned off by the price so bought a pin/bushing kit last week - was planning on installing it next weekend - now I am interested to see if...

    What’s leaking near my diff?

I just had something similar on mine at 248,000 miles - lots of noise coming from. what I thought was the front - rear diff leaking a little from the pinion seal - took it too a shop to troubleshoot - rear end was completely worn out - I did what was recommended earlier, watched a bunch of...
