Well it's fords choice because ford didn't release that newer fluid until December on 2005. So basically telling someone that you think they are wrong for using mercon 5 or mercon v whichever you refer to it as, but telling them it's not a good choice to run a certain fluid in their vehicle...

I know the mercon lv is the latest. But I've always ran mercon v in my transmission and transfer cases

Induction flush is a good thing. It's a combination of two cans they use. My place uses BG products. Definitely work for removing carbon build up

First off, listen to any mechanic and they will tell you change your oil! Often because it's cheap to do so and a engine isn't. I change mine oil on my 3 vehicles around 2000 to 2500 miles. $25.00 for a jug of full synthetic and buy motorcraft oil filters at $3.97 a piece. Watch fordbossme...

True, I just changed my valve cover gaskets, and might do these this summer. But this is only used in the winter and sits all spring and summer, mustang time.

My 2004 has 207000 miles on it now, and I knew the previous owner and they have never been done. Not a bit of noise but oil has never gone past 3500 miles between changes. Took valve covers off recently it looked like a 10000 mile engine
