Hi st people...I have a 08 limited 4x4 4.0 engine. The carrier bearing is completely gone. My mechanic was in the process of rebuilding it but found that the bearing can not be replaced. I have to buy the whole shaft with the carrier bearing already in place. Not cheap. I just don't understand...

Hi...I had a high pitched whistle a while back myself...it went on for a few days. I doubt you're problem is going to be the same but in my case...one of my back windows were not all the way up and you couldn't really tell be looking but when I got up to highway speed it would start 🤣 I checked...
