    COMKOTA

Hugh, Yes, I also like the Jeep Brute. Of course I learned to like Jeeps thru work. I was Parts Mgr at a Ford Dealership for 31 years. The last 14 years or so we also had the Jeep/Eagle franchise.

    COMKOTA

Keith S. I agree that the T6 Ranger would be the ticket. I should have explained myself in asking for F-100 Sport-Trac as the name. I would suggest they call the T-6 an F-100 Sport Trac here in the United States. This would allow Ford to add sales of them in to the total F Series...

    COMKOTA

Sorry guys, but going to continue to "beat the dead horse" :btddhorse: Reading article today that Jeep's CEO misses having a Jeep Pickup. If he decides to offer one, I would guess it would be a compact like the Comanchee they offered years ago. Of course they also had the Dodge Dakota on...

Where Can I find this part! Please help!!

Brandon, If you call Green's and they have part, verify that it is what you want. That part # almost sounds like it could be the door latch handle (black in your picture) instead of the silver pull handle that you want. Just want to make sure you get correct part. Bill

Since the Sport Trac was built from the Ford Explorer could a third generation unit be built on current Ford Explorer platform ? Name possibilities : Explorer Sport or keep the same name Sport Trac and we would know it as the third generation. I know , I know :btddhorse: Bill

Daydreaming about a new Sport Trac

Stopped at my local GMC Dealer to look at a new CANYON. Nice truck but when looking at price sticker I now have over 40,000 reasons to make a strong effort in 2015 to tackle the electrical gremlins on my 2007 Sport Trac and drive for as long as I need a truck. Or drive it until Ford comes...

2015 Motor Trend Truck of the Year - Colorado

Attention to those who want to stay with a Ford Sport Trac even if it is used. Most of the used ones will be at your local Chevy or GMC Dealer in a few months because they will have been traded in for the new "Truck of the Year"! Resale prices will plummet as these Dealers will drop...

    Still want Sport Trac Replacement

bigb, You nailed it ! I can wiggle the key and turn dome light on so that explains light coming on when hitting a bump. As I explained before I have never had a heavy key chain. Just one key and the small fob that has the lock, unlock, and panic button switch. So normal wear since 2007...

    Still want Sport Trac Replacement

big b, Good point. After 31 years as parts mgr at Ford Dealership I learned early on not to have heavy keys. I only use the push button fob with the one key. However, After 112,000+ plus miles the ignition switch may be worn. I was thinking of the rheostat switch under the light switch might be...

    Still want Sport Trac Replacement

Another option. Could the current EXPLORER be modified with a small pickup bed in place of the enclosed cargo area ? If so the obvious name of this new unit : EXPLORER RANCHERO !
