Yes ... I've been told several vehicles don't have dip sticks so you can check the fluid.😡 So... you have got to go to a transmission shop or even more expensive a Ford dealer to check the fluid.😡😡 If a quart is needed...what's it going to cost to have a quart put in??? I'm thinking at least...

Sounds like the hinge pin is worn out... pretty easy fix...or you may just loosen the top hinge bolts and raise the door a little and retighten the bolts...just a bandaid till you can install a new pin...😀

I saw prices as low as $94 and as high as $1200.... I got one from eBay for $213 with Free shipping...

The drive shaft is very easy to install...I had access to a nice lift and it a 1 hr or less job... what I don't understand is certain carrier bearings are replaceable .lot of difference between replacing a carrier bearing and replacing the whole drive shaft 🤬

I have a 08 limited 4x4 AWD v6.just went through all that mess too. I'm not sure what brand mine is but it's ok... another one of Ford's better ideas...can't replace the carrier bearing,no dip stick to check the transmission fluid... Two very stupid ideas...not happy with that...

Hello Exahiyan. I haven't seen a drive shaft that low in price...I don't mind that it is non- serviceable. I haven't even had time to ever figure out if the universal joints come with the new shaft. How bout the front of the shaft...are there universal joints there too... doesn't look like it...
