01 Anti Theft Light

So my keyless door pad has stopped working and the Anti Theft light is blinking every once in a while. Any easy fix besides "take it to the dealer" ? I havent disconnected the battery yet to try a reset and havent ran the OBD yet either, or checked fuses for that matter but wanted to have a path laid out to start looking and thought yall might help. Thanks!

The anti-theft light is supposed to blink. Did you think that was a problem?



Pull your inner door cover off and take a look. You just may have a connection that needs fixed. If this is something you can live with, you do not have to do anything since the blinking theft light is perfectly normal.

And what battery might you be referring to?

I am not aware of the keypad on the door having an internal battery. If your theft light is blinking while driving then there is a problem with the Pats system that needs to be diagnosed.

the manual basically says the system requires 'service'
