I have a quick question. A friend has a 03 Ford Ranger Manual Trans 4 speed I believe. Has 174,000 miles and had the trans, fly wheel, t-bearing replaced about 30K miles ago. What happens is on a cold start, the truck shutters and shakes when shifting from first to second or down shifting from 4 to 3. Also most like it wants to stall. If he runs a high octane of fuel, the shutter is some what better. I was guessing a clogged injector or fuel pump. Any ideas?
