So it looks I installed the wrong radiator. Mine is a 9/06 build (VIN in the 46000) and I installed the Spectra Premium CU2816 with some Dorman 800-621 fittings. So far zero issues after 1 HOT month in Las Vegas, no leaks, no engine or transmission overheating, nothing. Can anyone see any long term consequences to just leaving it in there? (Lengthy explanation below) I wouldn't have even thought about until I breezed past the pic I took months ago of the top of the leaking OE radiator and thought more about the cutoff date. When looking at Rock Auto and others, I focused on the 6 in the part number embossed in the plastic top of the radiator (6L24-8005-A_CC05A) when I should have paid more attention to the little date code also embossed in the top. Then again, the label on top would have been a clue: "7L24-8005-AA" and "092806 04:48 21 60540" I had it in my head that this was an early build based on the transmission pan/filter difference -It's 2wd and has the flat pan and also kept crossing the purchase date (March 2007) with the build (I kept thinking it was built 3/06). Lesson learned.
