What do you gays and gals think of them do they work good in the rain? I had goodyears

on my ranger and they suck in the rain and thanks for all the help.

The Michelin Cross Terrains do well in pretty much all conditions (maybe not so well in mud, but for asphalt driving). I had them on my '01 when I bought it, and they are also on my '07.

The 18" Michelins on my 07 ST Limited work okay in the rain but I'll definitely be looking for better tires sooner or later.

Doesn't seem to take much to spin them when they get a little slick. Of course it could be my drivin'

No problems, here, so far, and the rainy season is upon us soon, here in the valley, so, I guess I'll find out soon enough, but I have'n't had a problem, yet when the Michelins are wet, or driving through wet terrain,,,,,,,,,,will definately get better tires, soon, though,,,,and get something a bit larger in profile,,,,,,,,,,if my wheels will allow it,,,,,any thoughts would be appreciated, because I haven't yet had time to check out the 18"wheels,,,,,,thanks, Mark

All you gays driving Fords gave your opinion.:lol::lol::lol:

Gosh, why can't we have a smiley that rolls on the floor laughing its ass off.

Not sure if you gays would be interested but the Tire Rack lists a BFG All Terrain TA KO in 285/65/18. It fits an 8-10 wide wheel and has an 11.5" cross section width and a 32.8" diameter. That seems a bit tall compared to the stock 30" Cross Terrains. I would hope there is a programer similar to a Hypertech that you could use to adjust the speedo. Maybe the X-Cal 2? I would also be concerned about the loss of performance with such a large change in diameter. Sure would be nice if BFG would make an All Terrain TA in a 30" dia to fit the 18" wheels.

The x-2 will fix the speedo and I have 265 65 17 bfg's on my ranger and love them a little loud put I can deal with that but they did hurt performance .

I am thinking of 255 R 55 18 BF goodrich Gforce radials. They are 1" smaller diameter.

I guess the computor can be changed to allow for the change.

I have found that 275/55 R 18 are the same diameter as stock, and will fit the factory 7.5" wheels. Would look much better on the truck than the 235 bicycle tires. Only found same Michelin Cross-Terrain in that size so far. However, the stock Michelin tires are good for on-pavement driving, no need to replace like the old Firestones.

I use my 2002 Ranger FX4 off-road fairly often. The stock 10.50x31x15 All Terrain TA's work great for everything I need. Plus they are not as loud on highway as some other brands I have tried. I plan to get an ST soon and will use it for the same things as the Ranger. Has anyone tried to order a Limited with 17" wheels? I know they are optional on the XLT but not the Limited. I believe there are also fleet only options for 17" All Terrain tires and skid plates. Maybe I can find a dealer that will order an ST the way I want it. Probably not but it can't hurt to try.
