I am getting 14 mpg, a drop from 21 mpg. I have always gotton nearly 380 miles to a tank and now I am lucky to get around 250. Tires are good and and air filter is clean. Just had the 40,000 mile service done on my 2005. What else can I do? It did'nt start this until I had my dealer do the service.

What engine?

I have a '03 4.0, and in the 2 years I've owned it, I have always only gotten 14 mpg city, and best 18 mpg highway if I stay under 65 mph, cruise control, coast to stops, gentle acceleration.

I'm amazed by the mileage that others get. Let me know if you find the cause of your sudden drop, maybe the former owner of my Trac used the same dealer!

Checking the MPG on tank fulls is not the best way since all gas pumps click off at different spots...

Weather changes and fuel mix changes play a Large part, Driving habits also...

Did the dealer play with plugs, wires, Fuel filter ???

PM, his profile say 2004 ST... so the 4.0 v6
