18.2 MPG in my '07 V8 4X4

Just got back from quick round-trip to Denver (and Vail) Colorado to watch the Broncos pound the Chiefs. Trac ran flawlessly- I am so impressed! I ran 70-80 MPH with cruise control all the way there and back and got 18.2 MPG average. Paid a low of $1.31 gallon in Kansas City and a high of $2.19 somewhere west of Denver. About 2200 miles in the last 4 days.



I honestly say my transmission shifts great. Firmly and swiftly, and does not "hunt" for gears, etc.



My '07 Trac aggravates me in some ways, but for long trips it always just impresses the hell out of me! Very nice ride, excellent handling, flawless performance, very comfortable.
