i believe mine is doing it now since i changed the rear gear

oil.:(

winds up a little before hitting 3rd gear. didnt do it monday

then i changed gear oil and now its done the last 2 mornings

is this the flare symptom ????

fluid and filter are getting changed this weekend and while in there

i will do the EPC adjustment.

do you think this will take care of it or should i look in to other

items in the trans?

im not sure if fluid and filter have ever been changed and the truck

just flipped over 57k yesterday on way home from work.

I think you just noticed it from all the recent posts about it !!!:eek::lol::lol:

Changing the rear fluid has no effect on it.....

Todd

it defintiely didnt do it until after i changed the gear oil which was low

by about 1 qt.

by the way my vibration isnt as noticable since the change either so i guess being low

was causing some of it.

what im describing is the flare isnt it? must just be a coincidence that it

started after the change.

does the flair go away when it warms up ????

You are describing the flair, but some times the computer adjusts the tranny differently when it is cold out....

You can try disconnecting the battery for 1/2 hour and re setting the computer to let it re learn.....

The EPC will help as long as it is not a bad solenoid or something else that is failing..

yes, it only does it right after i start up in the AM

as soon as i get to the next stop sign which is about

1.5 miles from home it doesnt do it.

for now at least anyway
