First I want to say thanks to all the members who have helped me by answering my questions I have posted over the past couple months since I've gotten my trac. You guys have been awesome. So anyways 2 months ago today my father passed, needless to say that's how I obtained my trac. I then decided to follow in my father's footsteps and lift my truck.. in a way working on it was a way for me to feel close to my dad again.. I believe that without the help of this site.. this "family".. I wouldn't have been able to accomplish what I had set out to .. I had no idea where to begin.. so once again thank you everyone

RIP Dad i love you

Joseph,

Sorry to hear about your dad....he passed away at a very young age.

We also share the same birth date on May 29th, except I was born in 1946 (Ya, way old...LOL). Our May 29th birthday is also shared with President John F. Kennedy, and Bob Hope....just a little known trivia that I like to share

Good luck with your Trac.

...Rich

Sorry to hear about your loss. I can only imagine how tough that is for you.

However, there are lots of us old farts here (and some real old ones too!) who don't mind mentoring and living vicariously through younger members. I hope that if you have questions, problems, or just plain want to talk about anything, you will remember us here. Some of us are kind of crass at times, but all of us are very helpful and want to help. Even though I am a 51-year old salt, I learn so much from this forum-- that is why I keep coming back every day. Sure- I learn a lot about my 'Trac, but there are people here who can help you on nearly any topic. The only topic that it seems no one knows much about is women. Even though we have lots of ladies here, they all keep quiet and do not tell us much about how to get along with them. You may be more on your own on that one.

I hope you do have a good day and weekend. Just from your post here, please know that several folks are thinking about you today, and want you to be happy, successful, and content in everything.

I have a feeling your Dad is very proud of you. I know I would be.

Sorry for your loss. What a young age.

My dad passed almost 2yrs ago. He was 84. I was blessed to have him so many yrs.

I was born in 1950. I still have days, when I think about calling. To ask him a question.

As Gavin said, that is what is good about this site. We can talk about more than our Tracs'

Think and talk about, the great things of your Dad. We recently did this on what would have been his 86th b-day. Was good for Mom. They were married 62 yrs.

Have blessed weekend :supercool:

sorry for your loss ,,,,,,,,,,,,, it will get easier as time goes on

i too after 4 yrs i still want to call and once in while i catch myself thinking about a dinner or what she would say or do

drive and enjoy your trac,,,,,,,,,,,, lest we forget

Joesph ... the strangest thing that has happened since I lost my Dad in 2003 was one Sunday after church I was driving somwhere alone & my cell phone rang. Well w/caller ID on my cell it came up Dad Cell, needless to say I liked to have wrecked my ST. Note: Mom & Dad only had one cell phone & I stored thier # as Dad Cell ... that will get your attention real quick.

He didn't live to see that our son too has a ST & I now have a '10 STA.

May God Bless,

Les C

Sorry to hear of your loss.

I am sure like me you will think of your dad everyday.

My dad passed in 1973 at a very young age and I think of him and my mom and brother everyday.
