20" tires

What is the tallest tire I can use with 20" wheels. I currently have 275/45's. I feel every bump in the road. The guy at the tire shop said that is just how it's gonna be with 20's. Anyone else have this problem?:unsure:

Probably everybody (with a Trac) with 20". Thje gut is correct. Just not engineered to ride on O-rings.



The tallest, wthout modification, is about 31" (+/- a bit). That'd be about 275/50-20.

i ran 275/45s before i went up and put 35's on my 20's. didn't notice that bad of a ride.

I too, same as navydoc, and actually the ride was smoother with mine on. At first it was not but had them balanced and no issues. Smoother than when I had the wranglers. (which I never had a bit of trouble with either)
