i want to unhook the battery so i can pull the airbag and get my keyless entry

code.

i was told that when i hook my battery back up that my stereo may not work

unless i have some type of code to punch back in to it and that it was a theft

deterent from Ford.

was he feeding me a line of BS or is it true?

if its true how would i get the code to reactivate the stereo?

thanks in advance

I don't think there is any thing of that sort on the OEM 6 cd radio....

Lets see what others say...

you guys rock, start vacation this weekend for 2 weeks

and getting the keyless code is on my to do list.

You CAN put a code into the radio. But it only becomes an issue if there has in fact been a code put into it. If no code, then no issue with removing power to the radio.

It is designed for theft reasons. If it was stoled and the was a code in it, it will not play in another vehicle until the correct code is entered. Not even the dealer can bypass it. It must be pulled and sent off to an authorized company and they will require proof of ownership to do so.

coastiejoe,

how would i know if there is a code?

i looked all through my owners manual

and find no mention of a code, how to input

a code or get a current code.

thanks
