2001 Recall - Hood Striker

In a previous thread, I commented on the propencity of my 2001 Sport Trac to be in the body shop. When I got it back this time, I noticed that this new hood was sporting a wire form style hood striker. The one there before had a rectangular frame with an attached wire form. This one is just a wire form.



As there was a recall on the 2001s for the hood striker, am I now sporting the wrong one?

Nope, You got the new replacment (well it was new about 6 years ago)
