Hi all !

I have a fast question. I just had to return home with my 2001 ST because my brake lights aren't working.

Could it possibly be a fuse? Or possibly a brake light switch? I need to travel tomorrow

and I need to get this repaired immediately. As tomorrow is Sunday, it sort of falls to me.

Any thoughts on the possibility of a fuse or brake light switch being the culprit?

Have any members here experienced this problem before?

Hope someone can help......

XST - I think he means all his brake lights are out, not just the high-mount

Tilt your steering wheel up and down a little and re check them, There was a known issue with the wiring in the coulmn....

Could be the switch or a fuse also...

Here is an older post about this issue. Try tilting your steering wheel down or up and then see if they work. If they work after moving the steering wheel it is your harness coming undone in the column.

Thanks everyone. I'll check this out tomorrow.

BTW, I never used the tilt feature until about a week ago. I took the ST to my local

FORD dealer for repairs and the mechanic took it for a ride and put the wheel up 2

clicks. I lowered it and now this shows up. Some luck - huh?
