2003 headlight switch ?

I have question about my 2003 sport trac headlight switch. when you turn the switch from off to the parking light or full headlight mode isn't the insignia above the switch supposed to light up.when I turn the switch on all my dash features and all the power buttons on the door arm rests light up. but the parking light & headlight insignia don't.

There is a light inside the switch, which is probably burned out. It can be replaced, with some difficulty.

I had the headlight switch replaced 3 times under warranty for the burned out dash bulb on my '03 Adrenalin. Also had the switch replaced once on my '07 Limited. Seems Ford needs to do some work on that little light bulb.

I'm on my second switch on my '08 LTD. My wife's '06 Mustang is on its 4th switch. Haven't heard anything about being able to remove and replace a defective bulb. It seems easier to just replace the whole switch. BC :banghead::banghead:
