36.9K miles and first check engine light

Go figure! It's been a rough morning! I won't bore you with all the details, but on my way to work the check enging light came on. I rem my old Mazda pick-up the light would come on at major intervals of service (36k, 60K, 100K). Is this true with Fords? I have a code reader and will check it after work. All seams fine with it, yea sure until I try to drive it home...

I don't believe so. I just turned 40,000 miles on mine yesterday and never had a light.

Only one check engine light at about 35,900 miles (IAC replaced under warranty), otherwise no other "check engine light" episodes in 200,000 miles on my 2003.

It just figures it happens 900 miles after the waranty runs out. I hope it doesn't start falling apart like my '02 ST did. I also hope it's something simple. I'll post my findings after I scan it.
