well for awhile now i have always thought my control module was broken cause i could never switch into 4x4 high/low. i would always here a clicking sound from the passenger kick panel.

well today i started my truck and i had the switch in 4x4 high and i noticed that when i started it up, it was in 4x4 mode.

i drove it in 4x4 high for a bit and its been awhile since i have so i was wondering if its normal for there to be a louder sound coming from the front when acceleration. it almost sounds like a loud roar. is that normal?

i also noticed that at tight maneuvering. when the steering wheel is turned all the way the one side and i accelerate. it feels like the front wheels lock up and feels so much more hesitant to move foward and the rear wheels skid. it almost feels like my rear end is being lifted. is all this normal?

My front end makes a noise when it's in action. Some of it probably comes from the AdvanceTrac RSC system doing its thing, though.

You probably shouldn't combine extreme steering angles with locked 4x4 mode. It over stresses the drivetrain, and is probably the reason why you're having trouble turning.

Everything you felt and heard is completely normal.
