Hello,

Just past 50K on my 2003 ST. My two local dealers cannot seem to agree on what service is needed - regards to some things.

I believe I should at least have the tran system flushed and fluid replaced.

What about the following:

Brake Fluid

PS Fluid

Clean Induction system (not sure what this means - one dealer suggests it though)

Coolant (one says yes the other says not till 100K - I have the Gold)

Things I do onw my own (so far)

Oil/Filter

Air Filter

Brake Pads

Any suggestions for my 50k checkup? I am will to pay for what is necessary - but not overkill.

What about the Maint Guide which Ford sends along with the vehicle? It seems more reasonable. Lastly, I operate under "Normal" conditions.

thanks all!

Replace the Fuel filter,

you can do the seafoam intake cleaning your self,,, there is a project on it..

Replace the serp belt at 60K...

service the tranny at 60K,

the gold coolant os 60K mile coolant.. ONLY the orange is recommended 100K miles... and I would NEVER let coolant go that long..

PCV valve at 60K

you can do the brake fluid now and the P/s fluid to keep the cost down at the 60K mile mark..
