I have just recently been offered a '70 Lotus Europa, yellow in colour. The car has not moved for 10 years and the owner recently passed away. The car was running when it was parked

and has been parked unheated and indoors for the entire time. The body is solid and floor pan, fender wells and frame show no signs of rust damage. Interior is poor but restorable. It has the twin cam motor and is right-hand drive.

Price is $3000.00 CDN.

Any ideas what to look for? Anyone here have any experience with these. I am thinking of retirement after 30 + years on the job and would like a toy. The Bronco I bought for the grandson gave me the itch I guess.:D

Agree with Nelson, a Europa can be costly to replace. Also, depending on your skill level, having a shop do the work won't be cheap. We charge $80/hour; however, a project like this would be hourly charged, not flat rate and would take maybe a month to get done, depending on just how much work is wanted/needed.

Even though it has been inside, chances are you'll need to replace ALL rubber, hoses, seals, tires, etc; all new fluids, new brakes, new bulbs.

However, I'd probably buy it if I liked the Europa. I'm not found of the styling, so I wouldn't buy it, but it does seem like a deal.
