If anyone is interested here are the dimensions for a jl 8w3. The box will fit under the 60% seat and you will still be able to access the tire jack. I made the box downfiring so I made the cap at the end 1.25" (7.25" in total) longer to raise the sub off the floor.
The dimensions are 23" x 6" x 10". I constructed my box from 3/4 mdf and the cu.ft came to .48. The jl only requires .33 cu.ft.
