At my "church meeting" this evening was a man that I have known for a couple of years now. He lives out on eastern Long Island and comes down to the shore once in a while to visit some friends. It seems that on July 22, 1975, this man became the first person to BASE jump from the newly completed North Tower of the World Trade Center. He was propmtly arrested, taken to 2 psychiatric hospitals(which proved him sane) and came to court 19 times in the next 5 years to try and figure how he was to be charged. They finally let him go. His name? Owen Quinn, and he's my friend. Bob

Cool info, Bob.

Can anyone really proven sane? I'm not sure. Proven insane, probably. To me it's like being proven innocent. That doesn't happen. People are assumed innocent and only their guilt needs to be proven...e.g. proven "not guilty."

Sorry, a stickler for words. I'm not even sure what "sane" is. Seriously. Been so long since I have seen it in most people. To me, we all have acceptable shades of insanity. Ha. LOL. Merry Christmas.

Dominoe, thanks. Owen is a very intense, personal man. Doesn't talk about himself much. I've read those articles, but the picture was one thing I had been searching for. Thanks, Bob
