Yeah I do miss it out there. We're getting snow here in Pittsburgh and it's cold, last week it was in the 60's. One of these days I'm gonna make it back out there if only to visit or move. Don't have any pictures of the snow yet this year uloaded but here's some from last Feb. and March.

Jerrry, that looks like fun to drive in, glad to see you take the extra few minutes to clean off the entire vehicle, rather than just the windshield. I hate seeing other drivers around MN turning on wipers and driving away. Especially when all the snow on the top blows back towards me and limits my visibility. :kiss_it:

We've got a few inches on the ground. Wish we had more, but I'd like the ice to form on the lakes first so I can drive out on the ice...Makes getting to the fishing hole a little faster, and enjoyable until you hit bad ice - (drive w/ all windows down, moon roof open, radio and seat belt off - scares the crap out of rookies when the ice is cracking)

Yeah, this is about a month, month and a half early for us around here. We usually don't get this much snow this time of year. And this was the 3rd snowfall this year.

Jerry, do you remember seeing some of the old pictures of when the Columbia River was frozen over and had a bunch of model A's driving aacross it? Supposed to be NASTY this winter and NOT looking forward to it! (I drive the gorge to work when I can)

So everyone, North, South, East and West... be safe this winter. Especially those of us who need to drive through this stuff on a daily basis. Not to mention having to drive when there are people out driving in it who have absolutely no reason to have a drivers license, let alone be driving in severe weather! Had a guy pass me (was driving a Kia sedan) and a gravel truck (who was in the middle of the two lanes) on the icy I-84. Just not safe or smart.

Don't want to hear any stories of smashed up ST's!...or anything else...

Pappy, that also goes for the idiot soccer mom's driving 4x4's thinking that they have 4 wheel stop too, trying to go 70mph in a blizzard w/ black ice and thinking they can stop just as easy as they can go. I love when I pass them once they've gone in the ditch, just hopefully they don't take anyone else out with them.

Yeah I remember seeing pictures of that, I think they have some of those pictures still up on the wall at a placed called the Chuck Wagon in Umatilla, Oregon, right by the McNary Dam, great food. I liked going over to HorseTail Falls when it was all snow covered, hell the whole way across the Columbia River Gorge is beautiful when it's snow covered. Be safe out there and don't forget to keep your chains, snacks, little shovel, and a change of clothes in your truck just in case they close the pass. I remember back in '03 I was coming from my mothers in LaGrande up over Deadmans Pass and they closed it with me and about six other cars up on the pass. Luckily I keep food, drinks, clothes, tent, etc. we stayed up there for a day and a half. Always be prepared for the worst !!!

Les and Andy... AMEN!

Oh yeah... the other was was a guy in a raised 4x4 older, Toyota, slow lane, flashers on, doing about maybe 20mph, two semi's behind him having to break hard and the tanker truck nearly rear-ending the middle rig, all while I'm having to meneuvre to the fast (ha) lane and hoping the tanker doesn't end up causing a major pile up because the knucklehead driving the Toyota won't at least move to the shoulder (emergency lane), let alone should have just stayed home that day!

And yeah, Andy, I truly was expecting to see the guy in the Kia off in a ditch or the River! He was driving WAAAY too fast for that kind of condition of road...

Sure glad we don't get that amount of snow but once in a blue moon!

Is that Lull-type lift a Cat? Real handy machines!!!
