Hi,

I've been having trouble with my ABS brakes lately were the ABS will engage when coming to a stop. No slippery conditions just when coming to a stop and at very slow speeds. I did some looking and found that I can clean the sensors and that may work. Well I had a Ford mechanic look at it and they want to replace both sensors at a tune of $535 dollars. They said that cleaning them wouldn't solve the problem.

Can someone tell me EXACTLY were the sensor is located and how to clean them? I think I will try and do the cleaning myself before spending the $535 to have them fixed.

Thanks,

Doug

BTW - Can someone tell me a good rotor replacement for our ST's?

I would also check the brake line . make sure it did not calapse or is cracked this too can cause the ABS to engage. Had a problem with this on my 5th Ave.
