has anyone added a amp and a sub to a stock system? if so any problems?

"stock system" are you referring to the factory enclosure or stock system in general.

most people do upgrade their stock system with an aftermarket amp and subwoofer.

as a matter of fact a large majority of people do so.

I added a different amp, subwoofers, and Head unit. When I switched everything out, the 4 wires for the factory sub I just left untouched and unplugged because they arent used. Boss 2500 Watt and 2 Kenwood 12"s is what I did. Not much for that rap music, but with rock and all that, the music sounds damn good.

I added my Cwells box, Sony xplode amp all to the stock head unit.....

I used the high to low converters with adjustable gains and ran it all.....



Since 2003 and still going strong !!!

JL AUDIO has a sub with an amp built in 400 watts it repalces the factoy sub its about $350
