I have been striking out trying to get a V8 Adrenalin in black. Thus, (feel free to shoot out the insults) has anyone tried converting a Limited into an Adrenalin. It seems after some minor research that it would not take much, and the prices and availability on Limited Edition ST's are more within my reach. Any suggestions.

Hop onto www.fordpartsfast.com and use their parts catalog to piece together the conversion.

You'll notice that just to purchase the entire front (grille, surround, and supporting components) you'll be over $1,000. The rear bumper cover is about $700, the rims and tires (I think) about $2,000, and I was not able to find the side steps.

You might want to consider finding a different color, as I presume the parts come unpainted. For a high quality job, you'll be looking at another $1,000.

It gets pricey quickly.

One of our members tried this. He found the only part of the front clip the same, was the hood. Fenders were even different.

I think he settled on painting the Ironman grill body color.

Wayyyyyy too costly. Bumpers and all needed supports/brackets-grille-headlamps-fenders-bed sides-wheels-running boards and hardware, you get the drift. My guess would be 5-7k minimum, without the factory wheels, labor or paint.

Cop, man you must not be looking in the right places, but at cars.ccom you can find at least 5 to 7 there right about now. I am always on there trying to find one in White Suede but to no avail, but yes there are a few black ones listed there. At my last count there were 41 saved vehicles there and at least 5 were in bklack. Check that out.

Ford in NJ has a silver one on their lot... I Saw it there with my own eyes..

A cops salary isn't too good so I've been looking for a used v8 in black around 26000. Their have been a couple but they go really quick. Carmax has 3 right now but 2 are V6's and their at about my price range, but I refuse to settle.

Thanks Todd - but a bit too far to "swing by" for me.

CopST - I had 2 ST with 6 cyl, then got my current ST with an 8 cyl. I'm never going back! Big difference in pick-up. Keep looking. Never settle. :supercool:

You confirmed my suspisions. My Police car has the V8 and its ok, I can only imagine on a lighter vehicle. and I'm not to fond of that bright red, so black or silver it is......the search continues.

I'm really shocked that the pre owned STA market is this hard to get into. I guess I shouldn't be very surprised. I've only ever seen a red adrenalin from Quebec and a white on from a nearby town.

I saw a Ton of ne black ones when I was searching for my blue one. The blue one I bought was the only unsold blue STA in my entire region.

Red seem to be pretty rare unless you're talking used. They are by far te most popular color.

I've never seen a silver STA in person. I saw a black one near troy NY when we went to buy my wifes STI.
