The 04/05 Adrenalin head unit doesn't have an internal amp does it?

Furthermore, in the 04/05 Adrenalin systems, how many Watts RMS per channel?

I don't know if it has an internal amp. As I recall, the external amp is 540w. When I pulled the sub out of my system, there was "100 watts" stamped on the speaker. So maybe it's 100 for the sub, and 110w for the doors.

Thanks Todd. I recently acquired an Adrenalin headunit to "upgrade" from my Audiophile one which doesn't have MP3 capability. I was hoping it was plug and play but turns out there's a lot of wire splicing required.

I went to an audio place and had them splice a couple of harnesses together but could not get any sounds out of the Adrenalin HU. Otherwise, it demonstrated proper working order(power, reading CDs, tuner). Because I have yet to connect the Audiophile sub/amp to it (harness needs to be special ordered), it was then that I was inclined to ask whether or not this thing wasn't playing sounds because it doesn't have an internal amp.

On further inspection, my brother noticed that at least one wire is open and one pin needs to be added into the adapter. Hopefully that's all is needed to get sounds, otherwise I either have a bad unit or I need an external amp.
