Hi all, looking for feedback here.

During July 2008 I replaced the AIC unit since my RPM's were way to high, reaching sometines 2,500 rpms when in neutral.

Ford said that AIC is the only unit that controls RPM's so I replaced it. For the next two months I had no issues, everything looked ok but since yesterday i started to notice RPM's going up again and today they were averaging 2,000 RPM's sometimes higher.

Is there anything else I need to do? I have a Ford ST 2003 XLT with 81k miles.

Ford told me part is guaranteed and replacement is ok but is this the issue here?

Anyone having issues like the one I am facing?

Jose, you might try disconecting the - battery cable for 20 minutes while the motor is cold. turn on the headlights for a moment to drain any residual power. After 20 minutes restart the truck and let it idle for 5 to 10 minutes after it reaches normal temp. Maybe the computer will relearn the idle.
