My truck 2002 is 14 years old. When do the air bags need to be serviced?

There's no servicing on air bags. If something goes wrong in the SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) the light on dashboard comes on. Use an OBD scanner to read the code(s) and that points to what failed. The seat sensors are common issues. Be very careful if you have to move an air bag (say steering wheel work); you must disconnect the battery first. Accidentally firing an air bag is very hazardous - it'll ruin your day and at very least be expensive.

Ok, thanks Vic. good to know that something on an old Ford will last forever.

God bless Ed
