Just to let everyone know that I might be selling the Adrenalin, if anyone is really interested, let me know. I am kind of undecided, but it is a high possibility. :(

Duece

It has nothing to do with bad experienc, I love my truck more then anything, but working getting a house, I will know more by the 15th, if I do sell it, I would let it go to any member for 1k less then what I will be asking for it.

Wow, you barely got the pretty thing. I'm with Chet; why? Hopefully it wasn't due to bad experience with it.

aww come on Mike, sell some of the mods before selling the TRAC, that might help ya.Then you can keep the trac, get the house and still be happy._ Ron

I certainly hope everything works out for you. I think I know how you feel about your Trac, but thing happen and I understand taking care of priorities. Hopefully it will work out that you can 'have your cake and eat it too'.

Not a slam here, but an honest question:

How does driving another vehicle (even a beater) help you afford a nicer one? I work with a guy who has an old car that he drives everyday so he can "afford" his nice new 4X4 pickup. The old car is always breaking down, and it has several annoying problems that he has to put up with everyday. He is always spending money on repairs and stuff for his old car, not to mention the added insurance cost, license cost, and property tax cost of another car.

I figure if I am going to buy a nice expensive vehicle, I am going to enjoy it everyday instead of having to drive a beater.

How do you figure another car saves money?

Gavin,

Those that know me personally are in the "know".....

Feel free to email me and I will explain it to you.....

Before everyone gives advice to Duece on how he might be able to keep the Trac please consider that since he is trying to get a house and there is a date involved maybe he needs to sell it to remove some debt or to reduce monthly installment payments in order to qualify for a mortgage (or a better rate)...and that's a difficult place to be in. We can all think of ways to save a few dollars each month in order to feed our addictions, but the mortgage lenders deal in much more absolutes.

Duece, I apologize if I read in too much on this, or if my consideration here is not desired.

Good luck!

Todd:

I don't want to pry in your personal life, but after looking at your profile I am betting that your Trac ownership has something to do with your business(es).

Hey-- I have a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Technology too! (also a Masters in Management, and another Masters in Public Administration).

Gavin,

Cool on the degrees......

The ST is not part of my hot Sauce business....

Basically I owned 4 cars.... I sold 1 of the 2 escorts, and I am selling the 88 S10 that my fiancé was driving... She was traveling a lot at night to and from school and on Sundays. She can not afford a new or newer car. SO she is driving my St every day and i am driving the 97 escort..... With the house and bills a second car is not an option.....

BUT i will say this.... Driving the escort saves me $40.00 a week in gas, I got another multy car discount on my ins, so that went down $35 a month, and the wear and tear on the St...

BUT now since Rachel is driving my St i am driving the scort, So things changed a little....

Just sucks...

Hey Todd-- we all got to do what we got to do. No shame in that.

I'd like to have a Corvette to drive along with my SportTrac, and I probably could figure out a way to afford one, but I also like to live in a decent house, like to eat out and go to movies and take vacations, and I like for my wife to drive a decent vehicle too. If I could only afford one decent vehicle, my wife would drive it since she commutes 100 miles each day and I drive less than a mile to work. I'd have the beater, bicycle, or have to take the public transportation.

I'd also like to retire and sit at home (or find a sugar-momma), but that ain't happening, so I go to work.

Life is all about choices, and there is no right or wrong choice in many things--just what works best for each of us and our unique situations and values.

At least gas is coming down a bit. We have it all around here for $2.46 a gallon, which is a hell of a lot better than $3.00 a gallon a few months ago.
