Almost had the Trac Back

Well the dealer called & said the trac was all done. So on my way home from work I swung by the dealer using the truck by buddy loaned me while the ST was in the shop. I got the keys, started it up & starting checking everything out. Checking all the Bells & Whistle that the truck has to make sure everything is in working order, I noticed I could put in in 4WD High, but the 4WD low light on the dash did not light up or engauge. So back inside I go & notify them of the problem. So now I keep driving my buddy's Chevy 2500 HD pick up. Droped $50.00 in Diesel fuel into this thirsty beast. I'm just glad I have freinds that will loan me there vehicles till I get my own set of wheels back.nline:

Just curious--did you put it in neutral before you selected 4 Low? (or is that a Gen 1 thing?)

Tried engauging it in Park , then Nuetral. Back & forth a few times. Then had the mechanic out to try it for himself.

No way would I try to engauge 4 Low except @ a full stop & in P or N. I'm think it should be done today. Its a week today without my ST.

That's the only way to get it into 4L on the Gen 1s... That and having your foot on the brake.
