I remember watching "Doomsday Gun" with Frank Langella back in the mid-90s. Good movie about a rail-gun inventor and the politics he necessarily got embroiled in, which eventually led to his death. Good flick--worth checking out sometime if you can find it. It may have been made-4-TV, though...

I live not to far from there and my dogs do not like thier testing. I come home sometimes and find them huddled under the desk. As they say the price to pay for freedom; they'll be ok. Pretty cool though.
